Martha Sheridan, vice president of sales at the Newport County Convention and Visitors Bureau, recently earned recognition as a certified meeting professional (CMP) from the Convention Industry Council. The CMP designation is the standard of achievement within the meetings industry. In her sales role at the Newport CVB, Sheridan works with meetings and event planners to draw group meetings, conventions and other large scale events to Newport.
