Michael J. Hebert has been named senior vice president, controller in the accounting department at Providence-based Bank Rhode Island. He was formerly assurance manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Boston. In his new role, Hebert is responsible for SEC reporting and the bank’s overall accounting function. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bryant University. Herbert lives in Cumberland.
