Michael T. Clarkin has been named senior vice president and corporate sales manager for Washington Trust at the bank’s Weybosset Street, Providence, branch. He will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on business-development opportunities. Previously, Clarkin served as senior vice president at Citizens Bank. Clarkin has held accounting and finance positions with the R.I. Economic Development Corporation, General Electric and Bostitch-Textron. •
