Rhode Island State Senator Charles D. Walton has been named honorary chairman of Cox Charities New England. Cox Charities works with the United Way of Southeastern New England to fund not-for-profit organizations seeking to further the education and development of area children. Walton is director of minority recruitment and retention for the Community College of Rhode Island and serves as senior deputy majority leader in the Rhode Island Senate.
