Mitchell M. Levy has been elected as president of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). Levy is the director of critical care medicine for Lifespan, medical director of the medical intensive care unit at Rhode Island Hospital and professor of medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Levy has been chair of the Robert Wood Johnson critical care end-of-life work group since its inception in 1998. •
