NetJets makes $1B order with Textron division

PARIS – NetJets, the world’s leading fractional ownership corporate jet company, took the occasion of the Paris Air Show to announce that it has placed an order for 96 Cessna Citation business jets worth more than $1 billion.
The order – for 50 Encore+, 37 XLS+ and 9 X models – builds on the company’s existing inventory of 304 Citation.
“The dispatch reliability and quality of service provided by Cessna Citations have helped make our business successful,” NetJets Chairman and CEO Richard Santulli said.
Cessna Aircraft Co. – a division of Providence-based Textron Inc. – is the world’s largest manufacturer of general aviation airplanes, based on unit sales. Last year, it delivered 1,239 aircraft and had revenue of $4.2 billion.
