New Policies at APC

American Power Conversion (APC) announced this week a series of increases to its Equipment Protection Policy (EPP). The increases raise the total reimbursement range to a potential of $10,000 for entry-level products to a potential of $150,000 for high-end systems. Pursuant to the EPP, APC guarantees to repair or replace the APC product and any equipment damaged by a surge or spike (including surges due to lightening strikes) while properly connected to an APC unit covered by the EPP. Products covered by the EPP include APC’s SurgeArrest® surge protectors, Back-UPS® and Smart-UPS® units as well as APC’s Matrix®-UPS devices designed for small datacenter power protection.
