FRAMINGHAM – The newly renovated Staples, Inc. superstore in a shopping center off North Main Street in Providence has been dedicated to Bernie and Benita Schacter, a couple with a lengthy association with Staples. Benita Schacter was one of Staples original employees, starting as an office consultant who helped to open the company’s first two stores, in Brighton and Woburn, Mass. Bernie Schacter joined Staples in 1994 and is now senior vice president of real estate and property management, overseeing Staples’ United States properties, expansions and relocations, including the North Main Street store, the Staples release reported.
