O’Gara are frequent guest speakers on the topic of ‘social media in the workplace’ and have delivered informational presentations before hundreds of people in the business community, human resources area and public and nonprofit sectors as part of the firm’s community outreach program. The video series allows the firm to inform businesses about legal issues arising from the use or mis-use of social media outlets, and to provide information about possible solutions to consider when using e-communications. The two attorneys also provide a narrative commentary on recent court decisions entitled, “Employees’ Personal Emails: Fair Game for Employers?” which is also accessible in a link below the short video.

“Communicating electronically through email and other instant communications platforms and through social media websites are center stage in our daily lives,” said Mr. Lamoureux. “Over the last several months, PLDW has discovered that numerous businesses and employers are very concerned about e-communications in the workplace. PLDW’s new video series helps us reach many more people. We are pleased to provide this information for the general public and demonstrate the depth of our knowledge on this hot legal topic.”
