Paul J. Cronin of East Providence has been promoted to vice president and general manager of Cox Communications New England. Cronin had been vice president of customer care for Cox since 1999. He has a master’s in business administration from Providence College and earned a bachelor’s degree from Plymouth State College in New Hampshire. He has served on the Chamber of Commerce in both Marlboro and Wilmington, Mass., and was treasurer of the Marlboro Cable Trust. He is a member of the National Cable Television Association, and past president and current coach of Greater Providence Youth Hockey.
