PBN schedules ‘Summits’

The first of a series of “Summits” sponsored by the Providence Business News will take place Thursday, March 30, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Roger Williams Park Casino. The series will open with an in-depth discussion of health care issues that are facing the business community.

No issue is more critical to Rhode Island business – and all Rhode Islanders – than the cost of quality health care. For more than a year, Providence Business News has called for a health care summit so that the state would be in a position to respond rather than react to the loss of health insurers, or the merger of large health care institutions. Only now, with the loss of two insurers, have state officials begun to meet and discuss potential solutions to the crisis.
