Peter Simon, assistant medical director, R.I. Dept. of Health, Division of Family Health has been appointed to a 2-year term on a panel study committee regarding the health, safety and well-being of children and adolescents under the Institute of Medicine and National Research Council. The committee is composed of leading scholars in the fields of prenatal/perinatal health, child and adolescent development, public health, environmental health, mental health, public policy and data/measurement.
