PROVIDENCE — Mayor Vincent A. Cianci Jr. announced that the city of Providence
had accumulated a $1,129,000 surplus for fiscal year 1999-2000. This year’s surplus
added to the existing balance in the city’s general fund brings its total to $6,685,000.
The announcement reflects completion of the City of Providence Audit Report completed
by the independent auditor KPMG.
