“I believe our new … software suite from PURVIS Systems Inc. will effectively streamline our operations and give us the tools necessary to provide a higher level of service to our citizens and community,” said Deputy Chief Terry Brennan.

PURVIS said it will be using its FD Manager Software Suite, an all-inclusive record management system for fire and EMS departments. The suite includes the company’s FD Dispatch, developed with feedback from professional dispatchers, which supports an unlimited number of users and requires each to log in.

The company said it also will be using its Rhode Island-certified Electronic EMS Manager software, which allows users to generate and print reports, and lets first-responders submit reports directly from emergency vehicles to hospitals. The package also allows users to compile reports for submission to the state Department of Health, or to third-party billing agencies.

“Because of our 30-plus years of engineering, design and technical services experience with the Fire Department of New York City,” said Tony Gharios, business development manager, “PURVIS has gained recognition and credibility from other Fire, EMS and Public Safety agencies.”

PURVIS President John Desposito added: “The City of Cranston benefits from our experience, and the expertise we have relied on from thousands of firefighters in the field.”
