Raytheon cancels plan to sell headquarters

LEXINGTON– One year after announcing that it was seeking buyers for its headquarters buildings here, Raytheon Co. has announced it is no longer seeking buyers. A company spokesman said meetings with prospective buyers were held but agreement on purchase of the three-building complex near Route 2 could not be reached. The company that has had financial problems in recent years had been seeking a cash influx by selling the property which it intended to lease back. About 750 people are employed there, the Boston Globe reported.
