Gasoline prices in Rhode Island jumped 12 cents per gallon in the past week, marking the fifth-consecutive week of increases, AAA Southern New England announced today.
The group’s Jan. 9 survey of gas stations in the state found the price of self-serve regular gasoline averaging $2.399 per gallon, up 33 cents from when prices began to rise in early December.
