Rex Stone has been promoted to director of operations–engineering at The Providence Journal.
He will manage the newspaper’s production facility and large capital projects.
He joined the company in 1993 as operations engineering manager and most recently served as assistant director of operations – engineering.
He has degrees in mechanical engineering and engineering administration from Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Mich.
