RI DMV deploys cutting edge image-capture system

LITTLETON, Mass. – Interlink Electronics Inc., developer of intuitive interface technologies and e-signature solutions, and Littleton-based Viisage Technology, a developer of biometric face-recognition technology and digital-identification systems, announced a partnership to integrate Interlink’s ePad electronic-signature architecture into Viisage’s Solution for Smart and Secure Identification.

The ePad-ink system is being implemented by Viisage in its image-capture system used by the Rhode Island Department of Motor Vehicles. The system will enable the digital capture and storage of signatures handwritten on its liquid-crystal display input screen at the DMV’s system offices throughout the state. It also will enable the acquisition and storage of digital images and demographic data.


 


Infinite announces several
management changes




WARWICK – Infinite Group Inc., a provider of laser-material processing, recently announced management changes affecting various functions across the organization. David Johnson, whose experience includes 10 years in management and marketing positions at American Power Conversion, has assumed the position of managing director.



Infinite also announced that Steven Brogno, formerly director of accounting operations at APC, has been named corporate controller; Sean McEllin, formerly of Newport Capital Partners, is now director of corporate investments; and Chris Di Napoli, also a former manager at APC, was named director of business development at Infinite.



The company also announced that it did not renew its contract with Bruce Garreau, its chief financial officer, and it is searching for a replacement. Also, Jeff Bullington, president of the company’s Infinite Photonics subsidiary, recently resigned, the company said.
