PROVIDENCE — The Rhode Island Foundation has made a one million dollar investment
in the Point Judith Venture Fund, a new early-stage venture capital fund based
in Providence. The fund was established in Sept. 2000 by Village Ventures, Inc.
of Williamstown, Mass. Village Ventures had said it planned to join with Riparian
Partners of Providence to establish the fund, which would focus on emerging high-growth
