Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have fallen 8 more cents over the past week, the third consecutive week of decreases, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s Feb. 20 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.23 per gallon, down 8 cents from last week and down 17 cents in the last three weeks. This is the first time prices have fallen in three consecutive weeks since late last November. One year ago, the price was $1.91.

The range in prices in AAA’s survey for regular unleaded is 18 cents, from a low of $2.14 to a high of $2.32. Motorists should continue to shop around for the best prices in their area, AAA said.
