Out of respect for the funeral of former President Gerald R. Ford, Gov. Donald L. Carcieri has announced that the state’s Inaugural Ball, originally planned for tonight, Jan. 2, has been postponed to tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 3, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Rhodes-on-the-Pawtuxet in Cranston.
