Richard Browning has been appointed chief of anesthesia at Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital. He has been with Rhode Island Hospital since 1985, and has served as chief of anesthesia since 1988. Browning belongs to several professional organizations. He is also a clinical professor of surgery – anesthesiology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. •
