RightPath adds technology and marketing adviser

PROVIDENCE – RightPath Payments Inc. announced today that Paul E. Mandeville of Narragansett has joined its board of advisers as a marketing consultant and technology adviser.

Mandeville is vice president of alliances for Click Tactics Inc. of Waltham, Mass., a Web-based marketing services company that specializes in complex multi-channel sales and marketing programs. He will advise RightPath in the national rollout of its flagship solution, Business Payment ConnectionSM (BPC).

A Web-based, business-to-business credit and payments facility, BPC replaces a seller’s trade credit with a lender’s credit to the buyer, while eliminating, paper-based ordering and invoicing. A Web portal links the buyer and seller, to allow end-to-end visibility on all transactions; BPC itself speeds up sellers’ cash flow and enables them to increase sales volume without incurring bank debt, while still allowing buyers their customary, interest-free payment terms.

“I’m very excited to assist RightPath with its go-to-market and distribution strategy,” said Mandeville, who began his career with Fleet Boston in the early 1990s and worked for Exchange Applications of Boston and Elity Systems of Somerset, N.J., before joining Click Tactics in 2005. “I see my primary function as helping the company apply the value proposition enabled by its technology to new markets. For instance, we have noted that traditional banking lines of credit are costly and time consuming for both buyers and sellers in the building trades industry and in many types of big-ticket manufacturing. Right Path’s technology can be tailored to fit each individual order or contract and thus to eliminate the constraints of the current one-size-fits-all model.”

“Paul is a tremendous addition to our advisory team,” said Dennis Lynch, RightPath’s chairman and CEO. “He has an extensive background that encompasses database and online technology, financial services, and strategic marketing. We expect him to be very ‘hands-on’ and involved in finding and evaluating opportunities for us to bring to our clients the speed and customization that they need to prosper in the Internet-driven economy.”

Mandeville noted that, though small and growing businesses are the lifeblood of the United States economy, they are often inhibited by the need to extend interest-free trade credit to buyers and wait weeks for payment.

“Many large enterprises are already financing the shipments of their own products, extending credit in their own closed economies,” he said. “But what’s been missing in most solutions is the trade-credit aspect. The team at RightPath has developed a truly superior, technology-based solution that meets every pressing need of growing, innovative businesses – for credit, payment speed, flexible terms, and streamlined ordering and invoicing,” he said.

“Two realities will drive RightPath’s aggressive growth: First, the sweeping adoption of broadband Internet allows small businesses to gain access to robust technology that is now being offered in a web-services model. Second, cash flow has been, and always will be, the biggest challenge for small business. RightPath created a solution at the intersection of these two realities,” Mandeville said.
