Robert E. Maddock has been promoted to executive vice president, community-banking division at Bank of Newport. He is responsible for retail banking and business developments, including the customer services call center, deposit servicing, information technology and marketing and sales. Maddock was most recently senior vice president, customer and staff development. He has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Syracuse University. He is on the board of Child & Family Services of Newport County and the Rhode Island Philharmonic. He lives in North Kingstown.
