BRISTOL — Harvey Rishikof, who was selected to be the dean of the Ralph R. Papitto
School of Law at Roger Williams College two years ago, announced his resignation
effective last Saturday, June 30. He will remain at the school to teach and write
on “issues related to national security, the federal courts and the constitution,”
the college announced. Law Professor Bruce I. Kogan, a founding associate dean
of the school, who has previously served as dean will be the interim successor
to Rishikof, as of July 1, the chancellor of the university, Anthony J. Santoro
said. Rishikof came to Roger Williams from government service. He had been most
recently the legal counsel to the deputy director of the FBI, and before that
administrative assistant to the chief justice of the Supreme Court. Chancellor
Santoro praised Rishikof for serving with distinction. He said, “through his active
participation in legal organizations locally and nationally, he has brought the
quality and strengths of the Roger Williams law school to the attention of a large
audience.”
