S. Shameem Awan has been named manager of the Rhode Island claims department at Amica Mutual Insurance Co. Awan began working for Amica Mutual Insurance Company in 1996 as an associate adjuster in Amica’s Houston regional office. She most recently was branch manager in the Seattle regional office. Awan has a B.A. from Providence College. •
