S. Shameem Awan has been named an assistant vice president in the claims executive department at Amica Mutual Insurance Co. She began working for Amica in 1996 and has worked as an adjuster, assistant training instructor and held a variety of supervisory and managerial positions. Additionally, Awan has worked in Amica offices in Atlanta, Indianapolis, Seattle and Wellesley, Mass. •
