NEWPORT, R.I. — Salve Regina University is hosting an international workshop on the theory of mediation from Sunday, August 19 through Friday, August 24 at the university’s Pell Center for International Relations and Public Policy.
The workshop, organized by Thomas Ewans, professor of philosophy at the Rhode Island School of Design, will focus on the theory of mediation as it relates to the dominant anthropological theories. Professors from the United States and Europe who specialize in the fields of philosophy, religion, linguistics and culture will lead discussions.
