Sen. Walaska named to EDC board

Sen. William Walaska of Warwick has been appointed to the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors. Walaska will replace Sen. William Enos (D-Dist. 47) of Tiverton, Warren and Little Compton as the Senate majority appointment to the EDC board. Sen. Majority Leader William V. Irons announced the appointment.

The Warwick legislator said he feels very comfortable serving on the EDC board, because of his 17 years of experience in banking and his 17 years of experience in operating his own business.

Set to begin his fourth term in the Rhode Island Senate, Walaska is a member of the Senate Committee on Corporations and the Senate Committee on Health, Education and Welfare.
