AirShares Elite New England, part of a shared aircraft ownership program, announced Thursday that it has expanded operations to T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, giving pilots in southeastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island and eastern Connecticut better access to four-seat aircraft for business and personal travel.
AirShares Elite Providence, located at Horizon Aviation at the northwest ramp, will host its grand opening on June 21, from 3 to 8 p.m. where area pilots will learn the benefits of fractional ownership and the public can explore the benefits of learning to fly.

For example, a pilot flying an AirShares Elite aircraft from Providence can get to a meeting in New York, to Vermont or to New Jersey in less than an hour. Cape Cod and the islands are a 20-minute flight. Aircraft available in the AirShares Elite program will be on display.
Pilots can take advantage of the AirShares Elite program to fly new Cirrus SR22 aircraft without the expenses and hassles of owning an aircraft, the group said. Pilots pay for the time they expect to use the aircraft each year with maintenance and fuel expenses included. Pilots can reserve a plane and fly it as desired.
Costs are comparable to purchasing a time share vacation home or leasing a premium automobile. AirShares Elite pilots also receive professional, customized training.
The Cirrus SR22 four-seat, 200 mph airplane features the unique Cirrus Airframe Parachute System and the Avidyne Entegra integrated “glass cockpit” flight deck. With CAPS, the pilot can deploy a parachute to lower the entire aircraft to the ground in an emergency.
Based at the Hanscom Airport in Bedford, Mass., AirShares Elite New England serves pilots in New England and in south Florida.
