The South Kingstown Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its Annual Recognition Awards.
¡§The Chamber recognizes that the quality and vitality of South Kingstown is directly related to the commitment and contributions made by so many individuals who really care about this community,¡¨ said Darlene Evans, the Chamber¡¦s president and CEO. ¡§This award program is the Chamber¡¦s way of recognizing just three of those individuals and the efforts they have made to make our town such a special place.¡¨
ƒÞ The Business of the Year Award honors a South Kingstown business or nonprofit for enhancing the business environment or making significant contributions as an active member of the community.
ƒÞ The Educator of the Year Award recognizes a local teacher or administrator for making a difference by preparing students to be better consumers, employees, business leaders and citizens.
ƒÞ The Citizen of the Year Award recognizes an individual ¡V a South Kingstown resident, local volunteer or affiliate of a local business ¡V for outstanding service, contribution or commitment to the community.

A selection committee comprising a diverse cross-section of the community will review all the nominations and determine who will be named the winner in each category. Recipients will be honored at the Annual Dinner Meeting, on Jan. 19, which they will be invited to attend as Chamber guests.
