Stephanie Handelson has been named chief operating officer at Benchmark Assisted Living. She will hold primary responsibility for all daily operations at the 44 senior living communities Benchmark operates. Previously, Handelson served as senior vice president of East Coast operations for Sunrise Assisted Living, She has a B.A. from the New York Institute of Technology and an MBA from Dowling College. •
