Stuart D. Pearson, chief of the Harmony Fire Department in Glocester, has been chosen as president of the Rhode Island Association of Fire Chiefs.
Pearson has also served as deputy chief of the Johnston Fire Department.
In his new role, he will represent nearly 70 fire chiefs statewide and assist in meeting the goals and initiatives of the association.
