An index of U.S. economic optimism
rose to a 22 month high in January, according to TechnoMetrica
Institute of Policy and Politics.
The economic optimism index rose to 60.6 in January, up 1.8
points from a month earlier, and the highest level since March
2002. A reading over 50 indicates a positive outlook while a
reading below 50 signals a negative outlook.
