BOSTON — Viant Corp., an Internet consulting company whose shares had fallen
95 percent in the past year, reduced its workforce by about 18 percent and had
a second- quarter loss of nearly $10 million, compared to net income of $6.28
million for the same period last year. About 75 employees voluntarily left during
the quarter, including 52 consultants. The company now has 346 employees.
