WATERTOWN, Mass. – V.I. Technologies, Inc. (VITEX), a biotechnology company dedicated to developing products that inactivate and remove pathogens in blood, have announced its financial results for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2001. For the third quarter of 2001, VITEX reported a net loss of $2.7 million, or $0.12 per share, compared to a net loss of $5.0 million or $0.25 per share, for the third quarter of 2000. Net revenues for the third quarter of 2001 were $5.2 million compared to $9.4 million for the third quarter of 2000.
