Wayne D. Pelland has been named senior vice president of operations at The Providence Journal Co. A 20-year veteran of the newspaper, Pelland was previously vice president of operations. He is responsible for all printing and distribution sales, press, preprint packaging, home delivery and building services of the company. He has a B.S. in engineering and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island. •
