BOSTON – Weber Shandwick, a recently merged unit of Interpublic Groups of Cos., has announced the appointment of Micho Spring, formerly head of the Boston office BSMG Worldwide, as chairwoman of its New England public relations operation. The merged operation employs about 175 and project annual revenue of more than $25 million. BSMG’s corporate parent was recently acquired by Interpublic in New York, which in turn merged it with its own Weber Shandwick. No jobs were lost in the merger, Spring told the Boston Globe. Interpublic owns the ad agencies Hill Holliday Connors Cosmopoulos of Boston and Mullen of Wenham along with many other ad and PR agencies around the world.
