“The Westerly Hospital has a reputation for providing superior care to patients throughout our community,” said hospital President and CEO Charles S. Kinney. “But equally impressive is The Westerly Hospital team’s performance to optimize our resources. Our goal is to implement an Electronic Health Record by making the right decisions from the start. In doing so we can expedite the process while raising the bar on patient safety and satisfaction.”
HIS Pros Consultants helped the hospital choose QuadraMed, with which Westerly has a longstanding relationship, Kinney said. “In particular, QuadraMed had helped us to significantly improve our revenue cycle management, and by further leveraging our existing Affinity technology in the clinical area, we expect to cost-effectively provide our physicians with a faster track to an EHR.”
“Our relationship with The Westerly Hospital began in 1993,” said Jim Milligan, QuadraMed senior vice president. “QuadraMed’s long-term success is based upon partnerships such as our relationship with The Westerly Hospital, and we appreciate their loyalty.”
The Westerly Hospital is a 125-bed acute care community hospital serving southern Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut. The institution’s Web site is www.westerlyhospital.org.
