William F. Hughes, plumbing and fire protection designer at Providence-based The Robinson Green Beretta, has been appointed vice president. He is responsible for interior plumbing and fire protection systems. As vice president, Hughes is the first board member elected from Rhode Island of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE). He is also a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Rhode Island Society of Professional Engineers. Hughes is certified in plumbing design by ASPE. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Roger Williams University. Hughes lives in Riverside.
