Women & Infants named one of top 50 hospitals

PROVIDENCE — Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, a Care New England
Hospital, has been chosen 41^st of the top 50 gynecological hospitals
in the 2001 edition of America’s Best Hospitals in U.S. News & World Report.
The ratings include hospitals in 17 various categories. Women & Infants is
the only Rhode Island hospital listed in any of the categories. The ratings are
based on an index of three equal parts related to quality of care: reputation,
mortality, and various factors such as procedure volume and nursing care.
