The Bank of America Charitable Foundation donated $25,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence to support its “Project Learn” program, providing students with homework help, computer instruction and educational enhancements.
“Our extensive experience serving children in the community puts us in a unique position to provide homework help, tutoring, computer instruction, and educational learning activities that children need to achieve academic success,” said Nicole Reilly Dufresne, COO for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence.
Bank of America is in its fourth year of achieving a 10-year goal to donate $1.5 billion to nonprofit organizations engaged in improving the health and vitality of their neighborhoods. The bank’s national strategy is called “neighborhood excellence” under which it works with local leaders to identify and meet the most pressing needs of individual communities. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence is a partner in Bank of America’s Neighborhood Excellence Initiative. •
