With more than 30 years of combined employee placement industry knowledge, the two childhood friends had worked for other staffing firms across the country, from Providence to Boston to Chicago.

Those professional lessons that Giusti and Madden learned over the years created a professional relationship as well.

The two subsequently unveiled Element2 Consulting Group in 2020 within a one-room office in a coworking space in downtown Providence. Today, headquartered in Lincoln, Element2 has solidified its position as a premier staffing and recruitment firm that places a strong emphasis on aligning its goals and objectives with its customers’ needs.

“We took what we learned and created a firm that sets ourselves apart from the rest,” Giusti said.

Element2 covers staff augmentation, human capital solutions, outsourcing, and executive searches for industries ranging from information technology, life sciences and construction to distribution, manufacturing, accounting and finance.

Giusti says his staffing company sets itself apart by being a true partner to its customers. Element2, he says, listens to customers’ needs and develops custom solutions that solve complex problems in today’s job market.

Giusti and Madden must be doing something right. Along with adding 18 new customers in 2024, the company’s revenue jumped from $1.5 million in 2022 to $4.4 million in 2024 – growing a whopping 184.5%.

As business has increased, so too has Element2’s team. The company has nearly 20 employees based in Lincoln, with an additional 125 contracted employees working for clients throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

The industrial/manufacturing, food/beverage, accounting/finance and construction industries have significantly driven Element2’s revenue growth. Madden says the company is always targeting new businesses and looking to expand.

“There has been a tremendous shift in all industries for technical skill sets and expertise,” Madden said, “and we make sure we are always engaging with market trends that may shift and get ahead of those curves before our competitors to properly align strategy for our clients.”

A side effect of Element2’s growth has been the need for Giusti and Madden to occasionally force themselves to take a step back. Giusti says the company’s biggest growing pain has been delegating more responsibilities to its team.

“For the first few years – and still to this day – myself and Patrick have been very hands-on over the day-to-day operations,” Giusti said. “It’s tough to relinquish control over something you’ve grown. But also, a hinderance to the business. We’ve started to scale that back and delegated certain responsibilities to our key players.”

Doing so, Madden says, has enabled Element2 to focus much-needed time on one of the most critical facets of the business – relationships. Madden says the company has maintained close to 95% of its clients since Element2 launched.

“Our motto, ‘People and Business Connected,’ is not just a tagline; it’s our mission,” Madden said. “We are constantly making an impact directly to grow people’s careers and build businesses’ goals. We want relationships that last and are not just a temporary solution. We are here for the long haul.”

That same dedication Element2 showers upon each and every customer is shared internally with its employees as well, a factor Giusti says continues to drive him. He says his professional passion is derived from surrounding himself every day with a team that cares for its customers, candidates and communities to make a positive impact.

“There are many facets to success in business, but a few key areas I always think of are creating opportunities for others. How are we leveraging our team to bring out their best? Giving our employees the tools and resources to feel a sense of ownership toward their work,” Giusti said. “Having a healthy work-life balance to recharge and reengage with work with a renewed focus.”
