Thomas: Is this cold? I relocated here from Cleveland, Ohio, where the first snow often arrives before Halloween!
PBN: What are you most looking forward to about living here?
Thomas: I’m really looking forward to exploring New England. I’ve done a little already, but there is so much to do and see within a short distance.
PBN: What is the key to successful public relations work?
Thomas: Knowing your audience. It’s PR 101, but it is such a pivotal part of the process. It determines your chances for success right out of the gate. Beyond that, I think successful PR takes creative problem-solving, collaboration and a keen understanding of human behavior.
PBN: What do you like best about your job?
Thomas: The diversity. In my opinion, that’s one of the very best things about working in an agency environment – the exposure to a wide variety of industries, business challenges and professional perspectives. And the pace is such that there is no time or inclination for monotony.
PBN: What inspires you?
Thomas: I’m inspired mostly by the capacity of people – particularly their resilience and courage. I volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House in Cleveland, and I am still inspired by every child and family I met there.
