Providence Mayor David N. Cicilline will hold four neighborhood forums to discuss the city’s fiscal year 2005 budget, which he recently presented to the Providence City Council.
Providence residents and the general public can attend the neighborhood forums beginning Thursday, May 20. All forums are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

The mayor’s proposed $563 million budget calls for the city’s smallest spending growth in 20 years and no tax increase, the mayor’s office said in a release. “This is a lean and realistic budget that provides the services we need to provide, at a price we can afford,” Cicilline said.
The budget forum schedule is: Thursday, May 20, Hope High School; Tuesday, May 25, Feinstein High School; Tuesday, June 1, Da Vinci Center; and Thursday, June 3, Providence Public Safety Complex.
