Infogrames completes acquisition of Hasbro Interactive

LYON, FRANCE, and PAWTUCKET, R.I. — Infogrames Entertainment SA, an international publisher and distributor of video games, said it has completed its acquisition of Hasbro Interactive from Hasbro, Inc. The deal was signed in December, and approved by Infogrames shareholders last week.

Under the agreement, Infogrames acquired all of Hasbro Interactive’s assets, as well as Games.com, and secured a long-term licensing agreement with Hasbro, Inc., giving Infogrames exclusive rights to develop and publish digital interactive games based on current and future Hasbro properties on all existing and future digital interactive formats.

Infogrames said it purchased all of Hasbro Interactive’s common stock for $100 million, $95 million of which it said is Infogrames securities, or some 4.5 million common shares.
