Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up again this week, but by just one cent, according to AAA Southern New England.
AAA’s January 16 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self serve unleaded regular averaging $2.389 per gallon, one cent more than last week. This is the sixth consecutive week in which prices have risen, by a total of 34 cents per gallon since early December. A year ago at this time, the average price was $1.819.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for regular unleaded is 15 cents, from a low of $2.29 9 to a high of $2.449. Motorists should continue to shop around for the best prices in their area.
