American Dryer Corporation expanding in Fall River

American Dryer Corporation (ADC) is expanding in Fall River and creating 51 new full time jobs in the process.

ADC is a manufacturer of commercial clothes dryers.

Company officials announced that the expansions will begin after final state approval of their Tax Increment Financing (TIF) agreements with the city.

Fall River Mayor Edward M. Lambert, Jr., chairman of the Fall River Office of Economic Development (FROED), praised the project, pointing to the importance of public-private partnerships.

“New jobs, new development, new private investment – all are vital to the future economic health of our community,” said Lambert.

J. Robert Lynch, ADC’s chief financial officer said ADC is planning a 41,000 square foot expansion that will enhance production and engineering capabilities. The project will cost approximately $4.5 million. Local tax breaks will allow the company to reinvest in the facility and create new employment opportunities.

The company currently employs 293 at its Currant Road manufacturing facility.
