Communications technology company ARRIS Group announced the sale of portions of its EnergyLink product line to American Power Conversion of West Kingston for $10.25 million in cash. APC and ARRIS have had an ongoing relationship to supply standby battery power for ARRIS Cornerstone cable telephony products since 1999.
ARRIS made the decision to sell specific network powering product lines to APC in order to focus on their core business strategy of providing telephony solutions and converged services across the broadband local access network. Through a three-year agreement, ARRIS and APC will continue working collaboratively to promote APC’s cable and broadband power solutions and suite of network and environmental management accessories that are widely used within cable and broadband network infrastructures.
