WARWICK, R.I. — Insurance administrator Americana Financial held the grand opening of its new Customer Care Center last week.
The new 12,000 square foot center, located at 144 Metro Center Boulevard, is expected to create 60 new jobs by the end of the year, according to company spokeswoman Elise Freedman. The new positions will consist of customer service representatives, with base salaries ranging from $30,000 to $40,000, and management jobs that will pay more, with salaries varying depending on experience.

Americana Financials runs the MemberNetUSA and EmployerNetUSA, distribution channels for Americana Financial subsidiaries New England Benefit Companies (NEBCO) and Benefits Unlimited, Inc. (BUI). According to its Web site, the company has relationships with more than 12,000 insurance brokers and represents more than 100 leading insurance carriers from coast to coast. The company employs more than 250 workers.
MemberNetUSA was recently awarded a $25,000 grant from the Human Resource Investment Council of Rhode Island for professional development and training purposes.
